Develop Your Signature Style

Welcome!

This course is built around three interconnected areas: developing your signature style, tracking your growth, and building portfolios that reflect both.

Work through each section in order, watching the videos and using the companion workbook alongside them. The workbook is not a summary of the videos. It is a place to make the ideas your own. Take your time with it.

A note on how to approach this course:

Resist the urge to move quickly.

The videos are short, but the thinking they prompt is not. Pause, reflect, and complete each workbook activity before moving on. The value is in the doing, not the watching.

It is also worth saying that there is no finish line here.

The feedback loop process you will learn is designed to be repeated indefinitely. Every shoot, every edit, every portfolio review brings you closer to a style that is genuinely and recognisably yours, but that evolution does not stop after one or two iterations.

Finally, do not feel that you need to settle on a single direction

You may find that you have more than one style you want to develop, with different subjects, different moods, different intentions. That is completely valid.

In that case, you will naturally develop more than one vision statement, and more than one portfolio to match. The course supports that. Work through it once with one style in focus, then return and repeat the process for the others.
